How to Setup Netgear WN2500RP Extender Using mywifiext?

  4. Now, Open the web browser of the connected PC and search URL mywifiext.net or IP address 192.168.1.250.
  5. A Setup Page will open, click the SETUP NEW EXTENDER.

  7. Then create the netgear account first by providing your name, Email ID, New password, confirm password, 2 security questions and answer them.
  8. Select SAVE button; it will take you to the next page of the setup wizard.
  9. Here, select the WiFi network you would like to extend and connect with it by entering its password.
  10. Click NEXT. Create Network page will appear, wherein you have to enter the name of the extended network and password.
  11. Click SAVE. Extender will take some time to apply the settings, and then reboot itself.
  12. After that, you can connect with the extended network with the help of the new SSID credentials that you have created during the setup.

Method 2: Connecting Through WPS

  1. Press WPS button on the extender.
  2. Extender’s WPS LED will start blinking green light, means the WPS connection is in progress.
